Falcon Parts For Sale | Ford Falcon Registry
Shine On Me (Continued)

My part in this picture has become this: I scour various sources for decent core parts, or take others’ parts, to my metal team, a group of folks who over time have become a power team of skill and expertise with my own restorations. I discuss thoroughly my expectations with them, along with pointing out specific repairs and flaws to be dealt with. They have come to know my “pickiness” for quality work over the years, and I reiterate these objectives with them each time I make my visit. I then supervise each project, request re-do’s if necessary, then bring the pieces home. At this point, such as with grille-work, I fine-line mask and airbrush factory details on the finished piece, and do any further detailing (eg. Argent and black accents on ’64-5 Futura rear panels, black centers on wire wheelcovers, etc.) to make the items complete. So far, I’ve completed several dozen grilles, headlight rings and taillight buckets, along with station wagon rear stainless trim, Futura mouldings, and several sets of wheelcovers, for folks both in CA and out of state. My goal is to provide a service which supervises the upgrading of trim parts to show quality from start to finish, at far less the cost of searching for and purchasing NOS items. So far, I’m thrilled to see so many nearly discarded pieces given a chance to live again on one’s prized Falcon.

If you’re interested in knowing more about this process in general, along with prices and availability of finished trim pieces, please don’t hesitate to contact me (huiehome@cox.net), and I’ll be happy to address your specific concerns and questions. Until then, let’s honor our Falcons by letting them shine!      - Norm Huie -
